Barbie On The High Street?

Yes please!

Barbies popularity seems to have diminished greatly since I was a little girl, what once was a long filled pink glittering isle of toys r us dedicated to my plastic idol is now a few shelves 1/10th the size :( but where the children may be at a loss the adults may be at a gain. Barbie on the high street? Lovely

Barbie for miss selfridge has a great range, check out their site for more. New look is also sporting Barbie cosmetics :D

how cute are all these pink shoes? I miss my barbie stuff so much :(

this is kinda how all my Barbies looked in the end... my mum and sister thought I was disturbed for chopping their hair and giving them piercings at the age of 10. I thought it was awesome.

Do you ever miss playing with Barbies? Or other things you played with as a kid?

You Don't Know How Long I've Waited For You

They say if we don't learn from history we are inevitably going to repeat it. Curiosity killed the cat - but satisfaction brought it back. And so the story goes on and on or should I say round and round. I find it so biazrre that humans all follow the same patterns, everything gets regurgetated again and again, but memories die with generations and we feel the need to make the same mistakes ourselves, knowing that nothing will ever change, just hoping that this one time, things will different. I guess I don't make any sense but I know what I mean, sometimes it just feels like humanity as a whole is blind to the future, even though we know what is going to happen, there are many that think differently to most but is that enough? ah well again you know what they say - ignorance is bliss. I know i'm pretty much exploiting old sayings... just felt like i needed to.

the mind works in mysterious ways...

did you have a good weekend? It was my flatmates birthday so we hit the town as cowgirls. No caffeine or alcohol for me, lemonade and cranberry juice, mocktails!

space cowboy....

faux fur waistcoat... when wont I need it?

quite possibly one of the strangest angles  to which i've been photographed. LV & JC :D

Our Intentions Always Last That Bit Too Long

Saw new moon again today :s Went to lunch with some friends followed by some shopping then i managed to squeeze in some thrifting before the day was out

long hair & headscarves, a massive love

i look wasted here! I kind of wish i was... haha

the hair kinda blocks it out but check out my new fur waistcoat...toasty

She was standing there by the broken tree, Her hands were all twisted, she was pointing at me, I was damned by the light coming out of her eyes, She spoke with a voice that disrupted the sky, She said walk on over here, into the bitter shade, I wikk wrap you in my arms & you'll know you've been saved. Let me sign. Let me sign.

Fur coats, what is your verdict? I am obsessed always have been always will, they seem to me to be very 60's or 90's but i just think they're as much a staple as a lbd. I'm not a veggie but still FAUX fur all the way! Quite a few high street stores are shifting them out this winter but im quite liking the more Haute couture acid bright style!

also just as gorgeous in a  more subtle pastely colour

and this is my little beauty! Lepoard print always a classic!

Whats keeping you warm this winter?

November 21, 2009

it's like your my own personal brand of heroin

When the thorn bush turns white thats when I'll come home,
I am going out to see what i can sow,
And i don't know where I'll go,
But i don't know what I'll see,
But I'll try not to bring it back home with me.

Like the morning sun your eyes will follow me,
As you watch me on the crossing paths agree.
'Cos all i want is here right now,
But its already been and gone,
Our attentions always last that bit too long.

Far far away, no voices sounding, no one around me, and you're still there.

Far far away,no choices passing, no time confounds me, and you're still there.

In the Full moon's light i listen to the sea,
And in between the silence, hear you calling me,
But i don't know where i am,
And i don't trust who I fear,
But If i dont wanna, will i hear them leave?

so new moon hit cinemas this weekend, i hadn't even seen twilight until last monday but i must say i am amazed. I have read twilight and I have almost finished new moon, i will have finished the last two by next week knowing me. You can tell Stephenie Meyer has been influenced by some very great novels and through that inspiration has created something amazing of her own.

I didn't realise until I was browsing the web today how big the whole twilight franchise is, perfume? plasters? bella swans replica bedding? jewellery? dolls? Crazy world. I logged on to facebook yesterday and 95% of status updates referred to it. It's like when the x factor is on tv haha. Twilight, tv, drugs, music and alcohol. No wonder people think the british are crazy.

i think twilight is just one of those things that comes along every so often and captures so many people. In the film sense, some very pretty casting hasn't seem to do any harm either

I must admit there is something in edward cullen that fascinates me

As for Rob Pattinson, what a great model. The UK press (I have no idea about US) have been hounding him this week over some rather interesting photos that were taken of him a few years ago, scarves and knee high socks, I would post but i'm sure you've seen them.

So what's your verdict on twilight?

Who says a lepoard can't change their spots?

So i thought i would blog about something a little different to begin with, a nice review of some skincare products, i have suffered with acne for almost 10 years, thats nearly half my life! I have tried countless products and methods and i'll be honest it's only within recnent months i've seen anything near a drastic improvement, of course things are different for everyone but i thought i would give my opinion on some products you might be thinking of using! They've all been so different!

One of my original and faves, can feel like a slight burn but makes skin feel sooo clean and oil free, however it can leave a shine on oily skin so i recommened a mattifying moisturiser, foundation or powder to finish

Far too oily for me, though does clean well

Again another favourite, this makes my skin feel oil free and baby soft and i definitley notice a reduce in spots with continued use.

it does hydrate the skin and seems  to asorb excess oil throughout the day however the residue of the moisturiser makes you look a tad too shiny!

One of the first "on the spot" treatments i tried, it's good for when you feel a spot brewing, but doesn't do much after that

a lovely feeling and smelling moisturizer, my skin feels perfectly hydrated and it evened out my skin tone and texture with continued use i would definitley use this again

definitley not suitable for sensitive skin! Burns slightly and tingles like crazy so you get the whole "ooo it's working" feeling. Makes skin feel clean but did not notice any perticular changes in spots using it

Makes skin feel lovely but again you feel the burn and they somtimes seem to have too much solution on them. Not good if you are using them to take off makeup

this did do as promised and reduced my spots within the 4 hours and seemed to show quite an improvement in my skin however within a week or so it seemed to stop working, i would only recomend using this occasionaly if you really need that spot gone!

A lovely smelling exfoiliating wash, within a few weeks of use my skin definitley improved, i would use this again

a great fresh on the spot pen, but similar to the clearsil version after a month or so it seemed to not work as well, i prefer this to the clearasil one though and i use it once or twice a week in conjunction with a different product

Beautiful. It smells nice, makes my skin feel very hydrated but not at all oily and definitley help inmprove the tone and texture of my skin as well reducing spots.

cleans off all make up but i would recommend this to people with normal skin who only get the odd spot

a nice exfoliating wash, makes skin feel nice but didn't really improve my spots

this moisturiser is actually a god send but has now been discontinued :( If anyone knows where this can be found please let me know! this moisturiser smoothed my skin and cleared all the redness leaving me with a lovely clear complexion and reduced my spots :D

These are pore minimizing wipes which are gentle and effective

Again a nice moisturizer but a bit too thin so i would reccomend to normal skin with little or no spots

I haven't been using this product for too long so i do not want to say too much, it's quite sticky and I haven't noticed much change however the label does say persist with use as it may take over a month to see real results due to the way the product works so fingers crossed!

I was very surprised by this, the moisturizer is very thick and rubs in kind of like a cheap sun block which really put me off however i am really pleased with the results so far, it has really smoothed my skin and even my complexion and dries completely matte and keeps me tht way! I still put a little powder on my nose however if i put it all over my face i can look too dry! Which for my skin is amazing!

Eye make up remover - Quite greasy so always do before you cleanse your skin but it works like a charm! even good for falsies

Eye make up remover - Non greasy and easy and effective, been using this for years now :D

So theres a few simple reviews on some products! If anyone wants any more info or disagrees with me please leave me a comment! I'm very interested to know

Anyhow a few fashion updates naturally....

I never thought Anne Hathaway would rock the bondage look so well

Christopher Kane for topshop? I'll be honest i am a little disapointed however i'm not really a fan of topshop so not too fussy, I think this tracksuit is so cute though

Peace love and stockings

TigerLily

come into my closet....

so i was getting dressed today and caught sight of a pink wig in my fancy dress box ...

it wasn't until i looked in the mirror that i thought the look was very familiar....

Audrey is a lot less accesorised than I, she rocked her look much much better

I think all the La Roux i've been listening to has gone to my head....

too summery for september? No way! We're havin the best weather we've had all year at the moment, nothing like bright dress to lift your mood. Be bright all year round!

These shoes get me excited everytime i put them on... but i rarely leave the house in them

i think i'll leave the pink to those who can rock it....

i bet this would sound beautiful

i have to be up at 6am, another long day of work, and no caffeine! I am slowly detoxing my body.... i'm quitting smoking next week. Do you smoke? Do you think you will ever quit?

I can't shake this little feeling... of never getting anything right

So it's been a very strange week or so. Who knew one visit to the doctors could change so much? I can't drink alcohol or consume caffeine or other drugs. Instead they are pumping me with propranalol. Have any of you ever had to take it? If there is any other way i suggest you say no to it. Combined with alcohol in higher doses it can be lethal, it slows your heart rate and stops the release of adrenaline into your body, the side effects are endless, and it solves nothing, just controls it. I've been given it to stop my panic attacks as it is proven to work to calm anxiety. I also have to see a psychiatrist and have been put on a list to see a cognitive behavioural therapist. Cognitive behavioral therapy is one of the best ways to cure anxiety, phobias, panic attacks and numerous other things, but on the NHS it comes with quite a waiting list. 1 in 7 people in the UK suffer from an anxiety disorder.

Positive thinking can achieve so much

What do you think of the current thigh high boot trend? I adore them but when they are out of fashion i could only ever find the slutty ones, but now the choices are endless! i'm in heaven! I still love the slutty PVC and patent ones, but i don't think i can rock them quite yet!

Ive been waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand,
Could these sensations make me feel the pleasures of a normal man?
These sensations barely interest me for another day,
Ive got the spirit, lose the feeling, take the shock away.

Its getting faster, moving faster now, its getting out of hand,
On the tenth floor, down the back stairs, its a no mans land,
Lights are flashing, cars are crashing, getting frequent now,
Ive got the spirit, lose the feeling, let it out somehow.

What means to you, what means to me, and we will meet again,
Im watching you, Im watching her, Ill take no pity from you friends,
Who is right, who can tell, and who gives a damn right now,
Until the spirit new sensation takes hold, then you know,
Until the spirit new sensation takes hold, then you know,
Until the spirit new sensation takes hold, then you know,
Ive got the spirit, but lose the feeling,
Ive got the spirit, but lose the feeling,
Feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling

i put the past into the ground i saw the future as a cloud

i am in love with AX Paris dresses atm

oriental is always a good look

this how summer should've been

ah the cutest, 70's

A house of cards
The supple heart
Is not a place to dwell
Now you have your cake
Don't hesitate
Come on and just do it
Come on, just do it
Put it in your mouth
There is only now
Tomorrow has to wait
But know there's no backing out
This is gonna be reality
You can never dream it down

I have no way of telling the two apart

Well, I made amends
In the general sense
But the devil's in the details
And I know the cost
And I wanna stop
But I can't do it
I just can't do it
There was love I meant
There were accidents
So tell me which is which
Because I just can't work it out
But for memory and clarity
We had better write it down

I have no way of knowing the truth with time dissolves

I put the past into the ground
I saw the future as a cloud
If there's still time to turn around
I'm going to
It's just, one day I fell asleep
And all day, all night I dream
I am the first one I deceive
If I can make myself believe the rest is easy

what are you up to this week? xxxxxx

itchin in the kitchen once again

some might say we will find a brighter day.

So who went to glastonbury this weekend gone? Who was your favourite act and why? I'm very intrigued. Brand new played and I missed it :( ah well c'est la vie.

To all the people who tell me i am too skinny and need to gain weight you are retarded, just because you can't be bothered to try to lose your excess fat there's no need to wish it upon me!

so wether you are black white small tall curvy skinny or anything in between, what is your favourite look to sport at the moment?

i am loving the all white look for summer i don't think it ever fails to be pretty or classy

i am so obsessed with denim jackets atm but i am on a mission to find a nice white one! Preferably a half cut one! However I might edge it up a bit and just go crazy with the bleach!

i have moved into my new flat now! much much bigger! pics soon! I now have a sewing room! How awesome!
